The different colored tapes on climbing holds indicate the difficulty of each problem. While bouldering can be enjoyable solo, it's even more thrilling when tackled with others, as it releases more dopamine. At WHILE, we wanted to create problems that climbers of all levels could enjoy together. Through our partnerships with climbing gyms that share our vision, we’ve been able to develop Black Tape Level problems with unpredictable difficulty before they are tackled.
Black Tape problems represent intriguing challenges that everyone will want to try, symbolizing a ‘difficulty with no difficulty level’ that allows climbers of varying abilities to come together and share the experience.
